It’s Officially the Holiday Season – Let’s Get Cooking!
This time of year there are sweets and treats everywhere you turn. This week we want to send you a message of encouragement and reassurance.
First, we want you to remember, that it is okay to FEAST! There is no need to feel deprived during the holiday, you can absolutely have your slice of decadent German Chocolate Cake and eat it too! (Spoiler Alert: we’re sharing the recipe below!) Focus on healthy ingredients and you can transform all of your holiday favorites to be just as beneficial to your health as they are delicious. Holiday party favorites, like Deviled Eggs, are so easy to transform. Use the healthy ingredients that you already have like Pasture Raised Eggs and Avocado Oil Mayo and you have a yummy treat worth sharing at your holiday feast! Food by God for the Body by God
Second, keep in mind that when it comes to your health, there is no magic pill and no quick fix. As we navigate this holiday season we will become inundated with advertisements for every “Diet” or “Health” pill, powder, patch, program, or supplement that will promise to “change your life in 24 hours or less”. At best, these options will mask a symptom or two of whatever is plaguing you, but the CAUSE of your pain, fatigue, and excess weight (AKA Cellular Inflammation) will remain and may even become worse once that “quick fix” runs dry.
Focus on removing the distraction of disease by giving your body the tools that it needs to truly heal. Healing years of chronic inflammation can take time. For example, it takes your cells 18 MONTHS to detox bad fats. But we promise, that achieving true health and experiencing that “forever young” feeling is so worth it!
